Form

Although no wins in 2008, Casey did enjoy a solid year with eight top ten finishes, including an excellent tie for 7th place in the British Open.

This year Paul has made an outstanding start and is in the form of his life as he enters the Masters. He won his opening event of the year, the Abu Dhabi Championship and was runner up to Geoff Ogilvy in the WGC Accenture Matchplay last month. Then just last week, Casey won his first title on the US PGA tour, when he took the Houston Open following a play off with JB Holmes. He has also had top ten finishes in the Johnny Walker Classic and the Dubai Desert Classic behind Rory McIlroy. He is now at number 6 in the world rankings.

Betting Assessment

On current form, Casey has to be in with a great chance. HIs win last year at the Houston Open underlined his form and he is full of confidence ahead of the Tournament. He has played Augusta four times previously and has an excellent record. He was tied 4th in 2004, tied 10th in 2007 and was tied 11th last year. It is clearly a course he loves and one he is confident on. With odds of 25/1 he has to be a bargain and a bet to win or even each way should be seriously considered.
