Sergio Garcia - Spain

Widely regarded as the best of the top ranked players not to have a won a Major Championship. Sergio has been there or thereabouts in Majors regularly and has an excellent record of thirteen top ten finishes, but a winners cheque remains elusive. He was the leading Amateur here in 1999, but since turning professional he has missed the cut four times out of nine, including the last two years. His best finish to date was his Tied 4th, behind Phil Mickelson in 2004. Sergio however has retained his form for the most part of his career and has been a top ten player for several years, he has won a total of 17 professional tournaments. He is currently ranked 8th the world and must have a great chance to win this year.
