US Masters Course
The US Masters Golf Course is almost 7,455 yards in length and plays to a par 72.
- Hole One. Tea Olive - Par 4 – 455 Yards.
7th Hardest Hole. Bunkers to the right and trees to the left demand accuracy off the tee. Historical Average plays 4.23
- Hole Two. Dogwood - Par 5 - 525 Yards.
3rd Easiest Hole. Although longest hole on the course, big hitters should make the green in two. Excellent birdie, even eagle opportunity. Historical Average plays 4.81
- Hole Three. Flowering Peach - Par 4 - 350 yards.
14th Hardest Hole. Although shortest Par 4 on the course, the key to the hole is the green. Left side of fairway is perfect spot from the tee as it is difficult to attack the pin from the right. Historical Average plays 4.10
- Hole Four. Flowering Crabapple - Par 3 - 240 yards.
3rd Hardest Hole. Green reachable with along iron or even wood. If landed on wrong side of the green an 80 foot putt is usually faced. Often a 3 putt hole. Historical Average plays 3.29
- Hole Five. Magnolia - Par 4 - 450 Yards.
5th Hardest Hole. Players are forced by bumkers to be conservative from the tee, this means that they have longer approach shots to the green. Historical Average plays 4.27
- Hole Six. Juniper - Par 3 - 180 yards.
13th Hardest Hole. The tee looks down to the green that has a giant hump on the right of the green. Very difficult putt if pin is placed on the hump. Historical Average plays 3.14.
- Hole Seven. Pampas - Par 4 - 450 Yards.
12th Hardest Hole. The tree lined fairway is the narrowest on the course and demands respect for accuracy.Historical Average plays 4.14.
- Hole Eight. Yellow Jasmin - Par 5 - 570 Yards.
15th Hardest Hole. Only the biggest hitters can expect to reach the green in two. The huge bunker on the faiway often punishes poor drives, but this a 'birdie' hole for most players. Historical Average plays 4.85.
- Hole Nine. Carolina Cherry - Par 4 - 460 Yards.
11th Hardest Hole. A good long drive to the right hand side will offer best results, provided the trees are avoided. An open but severely sloping green awaits. Historical Average plays 4.15.
- Hole Ten. Camelia - Par 4 - 495 Yards.
Hardest Hole on the course. A long drive is required to have any chance of a good approach. However the sloping fairway often kicks the balls off to the left or right making the second shot much longer. Historical Average plays 4.32.
- Hole Eleven. White Dogwood - Par 4 - 505 yards.
4th Hardest Hole. The first of the water holes and the first hole on ther perilous 'Amen Corner'. Accuracy is demanded from off the tee and from fairway to green, many get wet at this hole. Historical Average plays 4.29
- Hole Twelve. Golden Bell - par 3 - 155 Yards.
2nd Hardest Hole. Short but deadly. The narrow green is protected by Rae's creek. It is vital to make the green, anything short will get wet and offer only a perilous pitch across the creek. Historical Average plays 3.30
- Hole Thirteen. Azalea. - Par 5 - 510 Yards.
.2nd Easiest hole. Favoured by the long hitters. If the dogleg can be reached a brave and solid shot over the creek should get you on the green in two. Shorter hitters will rely on an accurate lay up and a good chip. Historical Average plays 4.80.
- Hole Fourteen. Chinese Fir - Par 4 - 440 Yards.
8th Hardest Hole. A straight, bunker free hole, but a hole with one of the most difficult greens on the course. The huge hump and difficult pin placements often mean a 3 putt. Historical Average plays 4.18.
- Hole Fifteen. Firethorn - Par 5 - 530 Yards.
Easiest hole on the course. A straight and long tee shot is definately required to avoid the mounds that are dotted around the landing areas on the fairway. Its then possible to reach the green in two provided the pond at the front of the green is avoided. HIstorical Average plays 4.79.
- Hole Sixteen. Redbud - Par 3 - 170 Yards.
9th Hardest Hole. The hole without a fairway. Players must tee over the lake that seperates them from the green and land the ball on the same level as the hole. Pin placement can be very difficult and very frustrating. Historical Average plays 3.16.
- Hole Seventeen. Nandina - Par 4 - 440 Yards.
10th Hardest Hole. The big 'Eisenhower' pine tree that stands down on the left side of the fairway has to be avoided. The green has a severe drop at the back and care must be taken where the ball lands. Historical Average plays 4.16.
- Hole Eighteen. Holly - Par 4 - 465 Yards.
6th Hardest Hole. A 300 yard plus uphill drive will be required to carry the bunkers and allowing a short iron into the green. The green is not best disposed to long iron approaches and often players will find themselves with a nasty chip back on to the green. Historical Average plays 4.23.
